Marcela Orvañanos de Rovzar

 

Marcela is a Mexican philanthropist with particular expertise in institutional development and capacity building for non-profits, foundations, and other civil society institutions. In 1995, she founded Procura A.C., a training institute in Mexico City that offers courses in institutional development and fundraising for non-profits. Marcela’s other professional experiences include Director of Public Relations for the Presidential Campaign of Felipe Calderón as well as Director of Development for the Mexican Foundation of Rural Development. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), and a member of The Philanthropy Workshop (TPW) of the Rockefeller Foundation.  In November 2008, Marcela received the Henry A. Rosso Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Ethical Fundraising, the highest honor awarded by The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.

The Qualitas board of directors has been central to the organization’s development in institutional support, networking opportunities, and in providing 100% of the seed money to begin our programs. Composed by prominent professionals with a passionate dedication to assist the community, they are committed to cover the operating expenses of the staff in order to allocate the totality of the donations to the programs.

Adrián Franco - Executive Director

Adrián Franco is a social entrepreneur specialized in financial literacy and education of immigrants. Adrián has developed educational projects for the New York City Department of Education and the Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University, consulted for the private sector in Turkey and the US, and collaborated with senior officers at the Mexican Ministries of Public Education and Foreign Affairs. He studied business administration at Boston University, political analysis at Iberoamericana University and international affairs at Columbia University. Adrián is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative and International Education. He is a founding member of Qualitas of Life Foundation
